Content
Management is a means for changing the text and pictures on a client’s web
site. This is done with a backend software or editing solution that
provides approved staff access to change the text, pictures, records, etc.
of your site. It is a good idea to have the ability to easily control
what is on your web site. There are a few good ways to do this; Sound
Press Design can show you options in content management.
Sound Press Design's Content Manager was designed to live natively in a
Windows server environment. It also operates fully in a Linux environment,
using SunONE ASP (formerly Chilisoft). The software itself is written in
ASP.
Server operating systems supported:
* Windows 2000/2003/XP(.Net); and
* Linux, running SunONE ASP (formerly Chilisoft)
Databases supported:
* Microsoft Access and Microsoft SQL; and
* other standard databases on an "as needed" basis; please inquire.
Microsoft Access is recommended for smaller websites, where size is not an
issue. Microsoft SQL is recommended for larger websites that contain
substantial web content.
Programming languages supported:
* ALL standard web languages (e.g. Cold Fusion, JSP, ASP, XHTML, XML,
